Wolz Family Portraits, Beckley Creek Park, Louisville, KY
Beckley Creek Park was busy on this early October morning. The light was bright and warm, and runners passed by on the paths. It turned out to be the perfect backdrop for the Wolz family session.
These portraits were relaxed and lifestyle focused, which worked well with a family that has so much natural connection. The kids were full of personality, and it showed in every part of the session—including photos of the kids giving their best dinosaur impression. They wanted to move, explore, laugh, and play in the leaves. By the time the morning started to heat up, the little ones were more than ready to wrap things up at the playground. Catching some of those unposed, natural moments at the end felt like the perfect finish.
I have known Dane and Clare for years, and I love photographing their sweet family. Every time I get to see them again, I feel grateful. Their girls are adorable, curious, and full of joy, and it is easy to see how much love this whole family shares.
Sessions like this are the kind that stay with me. It is meaningful to watch a family grow and to be invited back to document new seasons of their lives. I left the park that morning with a full heart and a memory card that made me smile the whole way home.
